Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2: Covid-19 expands waiting times

How many of you will know, Final Fantasy VII Remake, title developed by Square Enix came out a few months ago exclusively on PlayStation 4, it will be a product divided into several episodes. How many and when they will come out, however, at the moment we do not know. What we do know is that the success of the “first part” will certainly push the software house to do better and better and maybe even shorten the possible release times. However, the pandemic that continues to grip the world is certainly not helping. The development of what on balance will be Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2, was sadly slowed down by COVID-19.

The producer of the project Yoshinori Kitase, has in fact released some statements regarding the state of work and how the company has decided to proceed, explaining that there have been obvious slowdowns due to the coronavirus.

Final Fantasy VII Remake was released in a unique historical moment, making any kind of prediction impossible. At the moment the company is engaged in carrying out the follow-up in remote working. However, I don't think that the long-term development can be in any way undermined by what has happened.

It therefore seems that, despite the crisis that has brought the entire planet to its knees in every type of market, the works on Final Fantasy VII Remake part 2 will not undergo particular changes. It must be said, however, that already upstream the waiting times, since no launch windows were released (however there were still several years of development), were not so short, and if the debut of the title required 2 or 3 months in more not necessarily the fault will be attributable to the lockdown or remote working.
