Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Nomura backs out, won't direct part 2

Following the presentation of what will be the new edition coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, with new and interesting news, one wonders how it could ever be Part 2, especially with regards to the game plot. The new edition in fact, presented just last night during the State of Play by Sony, added different meat to the title, also drawing on spin-offs, certainly leaving fans amazed.

He talked about the title Tetsuya Nomura, director and character designer of FF7 Remake, in an interview translated by Twitter user @ataikimochi. Nomura talks about how Square Enix's studio has "an unprecedented number of projects" underway, finding himself having to leave the direction of the second chapter of the title to someone else. The director "of the next episode of FF7R", so called by Nomura himself, will be Naoki Hamaguchi, who was co-director with him of the first chapter of the game and head of the project Mobius Final Fantasy. However, Nomura will not abandon the project entirely, but will only cover the role of creative director for the entire Final Fantasy 7 Remake series, while remaining involved in the future of the series.

"The basic way of working will remain the same," says Nomura in the interview, talking about how his role in the development of the title will not be very different from before, but in doing so he will be able to follow and carry on the many projects he is working on at the same time as this. As for the figure of the producer of FF7 Remake, it is likely to always remain Yoshinori Kitasand, who we remember being the director of the original video game released in 1997.

The presentation of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade last night almost coincided with the expectations of the fans and with the information leaked in recent days. We look forward to trying the new version of the title and to be able to have new and interesting additional information on its sequel.
