    Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is preparing to go out on PlayStation 5 il next 10 June, and will be enriched by various additional contents, including theYuffie episode, downloadable and placed at the end of the main adventure. This expansion will consist of 2 chapters, while the full version of the game will have 18. A recent interview a Tetsuya Nomura, character designer of Square Enix, brought to light new details regarding the highly anticipated DLC and the characters that will be part of it.



    Episode Yuffie will see the protagonist on a mission a Midgar together with another Wutai envoy, Sonon. The two characters will have to infiltrate the Shinra headquarters to take possession of the Ultimate Materia. Nomura described Sonon as perfectly matched to Yuffie in terms of build and fighting style. In fact, initially he had been drawn with delicate and subtle features, more similar to those of a boy than of an adult man, but his appearance was entirely revised to adapt to the role he has to fill. Wear aarmor which blends Asian and military characteristics, and its technique is based on the skilful use of the stick in combat. Yuffie will be the only player controlled character, but it will be possible choose the mode fight of Sonon, who can move automatically or in cooperation with her partner, following her instructions. A special icon to the left of the life indicator will allow the player to switch to a coordinated combat mode with Sonon, by pressing L2.

Nomura stressed the need to separate Yuffie's additional parts from the main game and introduce them as DLC. Regarding other possible downloadable content for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, he stated:



    The original purpose was to make a version of Final Fantasy 7 for PlayStation 5, not to create DLC. Therefore, we have no plans for DLCs right now. Final Fantasy Intergrade is setting the stage for PlayStation 5, and the transition to development for a sequel has gone smoothly.

    We are therefore concentrating on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2.
