It is exciting to bring back the FIA certified Gran Turismo ™ Championships. It's great to celebrate and bring together the very best GT drivers from all over the world and there is no better way to do it. Last year's edition was a great success and culminated in the heart-pounding final in Monaco, which crowned Igor Fraga (IOF_RACING17) Nations Cup champion, while Lexus was taken to the top step of the Manufacturer Series podium by TyrellMeadows (GT_Academy2013), Vincent Rigaud (Oscaro_SkyPikmin) and KanataKawakami (Kawakana222). I can't wait to find out what this season has in store!

Graham Stoker, FIA Vice President for Sport, commented:

Last year, the FIA Gran Turismo Championship introduced us to the exceptional skill of drivers from around the world and confirmed that linking the federation's principles to the emerging discipline of digital motorsports was the right decision. I am sure this season will further develop the foundations laid in 2018. The FIA is happy to once again support Yamauchi-san and the team in organizing another exciting series of live events. We are convinced that this event can help change the perception of online competitions and take them even higher, continuing the work of integrating this new and exciting automotive landscape into the future of motorsport.
