From yesterday, April 25th, a new exciting season of FIA Certified Gran Turismo Championships, the motoring event born from the collaboration of FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) and Gran Turismo, the franchise exclusive to PlayStation. The eSports world championship dedicated to Gran Turismo Sport will allow participants to get behind the wheel of incredible cars, show their driving skills and then try to fulfill the dream that many have had since childhood: become real pilots. Past editions have already shown that the car racing online they can be thrilling and compelling, encouraging supporters, producers, real-world pilots, media and pundits FIA to consider them as a real turning point for the future of motorsport.
Here's how to enter the competition:
- Players wishing to participate in the competition must complete the registration form area of Sport GT mode. available in Sport Mode in-game;
- After selecting the competition to participate in (Nations Cup, Manufacturer Series o both), competitors must register and compete online at specific times;
- The scores will be counted at the end of each phase, adding the points obtained in the best races of each driver and will determine the ranking of the general classification.
In this new season, the FIA Gran Turismo Championship will be divided into three phases, in turn divided into 10 roundThe division into five regions is foreseen: EMEA, Asia, North America, Central America e South America, oceania. The best drivers of each stage will subsequently be invited to compete with each other in the races Top 16 Superstars.
The first 16 Superstars races will be broadcast live on the Youtube channel of Gran Turismo. The EMEA and Asia regions will compete on 3 Maggio 2020 while the American regions the 4 Maggio 2020. Due to the problems related to Covid-19, no live events are planned, but this does not mean that the competition will be less exciting.
