Far Cry 6, a leak reveals the new official release date?

One of the most anticipated titles coming out in the first months of 2021 is certainly Far Cry 6, the new chapter of the historic open world series Ubisoft. After its announcement last summer, many fans and enthusiasts could not wait to get their hands on this title, which initially had set its release date for the 18 next February on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia. Apparently, however, the French software house, after confirming that it is this game that Rainbow Six Quarantine would be released after the first quarter of 2021, it would be willing to position the launch window of the next Far Cry on May 25, 2021.

Confirmation seems to come from Microsoft Store, which just today has updated the page dedicated to the action-adventure title by Ubisoft, in which now the new release date is ticked. Unfortunately, this change was caused by an unexpected extension of the game's development, mainly caused by the pandemic of Covid-19 which still forces almost the whole world to a forced quarantine in their homes and has caused countless delays and postponements not only for the videogame sector, but also for the cinema and television sector.

In the past, the Microsoft Store has revealed in advance the delays in the release of some games, such as that of Immortals Fenyx Rising or Mafia: Definitive Edition, but we would like to remind you that for now no official announcement has arrived from Ubisoft regarding the new official date of Far Cry 6. We will therefore have to wait a few more weeks before getting our hands on the highly anticipated new open world of the house of Montreuil, which in this sixth iteration also sees the actor in its cast Giancarlo Esposito - best known for his role as Gustavo Fring in Braking Bad - as Antón Castillo, the main antagonist of the game.
