Fantastic Beasts 3: Filming has temporarily stopped

Fantastic Beasts 3 is an unfortunate film, due not only to the poor public success of its predecessor and the dismissal of Johnny Deep in the role of the villain, but also for the various complications generated by the current one global health emergency. Today we learn that the current shoot at the Leavesden studio in Hertfordshire is abruptly stopped. The reason is simple but complex at the same time, given the spread of the infamous Covid-19 between members of the cast and crew. Unfortunately, the official information in this regard is really tight, so much so that we do not even know the possible period in which production can restart in complete safety.

According to an insider, the fear is that the South African variant spread in the study despite the strict protocol measures put in place. The fear stemmed mainly from the fact that the place is located a thirty minute drive from Broxbourne, one of ten areas in the UK where the aforementioned strain has been identified. This is not even the first outbreak within it, just think of that happened with Batman in 2020, certainly due to the large amount of people circulating in certain jobs. The source also said the bosses of Warner Bros. Pictures they don't want to reveal which members of the Fantastic Beasts 3 crew and cast have contacted the virus. However, it suggests that a member of the actors he may have been involved, otherwise this sudden blocking of filming would not be explained.

For those who don't know what we were talking about, Fantastic Beasts 3 is the new film set in the magical universe of Harry Potter. Directed by David Yates (known for making four Harry Potter films, The Legend of Tarzan and the two previous Fantastic Beasts) features several British stars of the caliber of Jude Law, Eddie Redmayne and Calum Turner.
