Sony will not be present atE3 2021, this is the news reported by a Tweet published by the Twitter account @ PS5only. Furthermore, the official dates of the new edition of theElectronic Entertainment Expo, which will start on 12nd June and will end on 15 of the same month.
The official dates of E3 2021 are revealed through the official Twitter profile dedicated to the event (@ E3) and the tweet is accompanied by the following words (translated into Spanish for your convenience):
Welcome back! It was tough waiting in silence as we prepared for today's announcement, but we are thrilled to officially announce our plans for June 12-14! Sign up to receive the updates that follow and let yourself be overwhelmed by the enthusiasm for the return of the most spectacular show on the gaming scene!
All those interested in this regard will have to click here to subscribe to the official newsletter dedicated to E3 2021, an event in which Sony will not participate. For a few days the news had spread that E3 2021 could have been a paid event; indiscretion immediately denied by ESA.
Sony had not even participated in E3 2020, accompanying the news with a dedicated press release that we report - in summary - below:
After much thought, Sony Interactive Entertainment has made the decision not to participate in E3 2020. We have great respect for ESA as an organization, but we believe that the vision of E3 2020 is not the right place for what we want to do focus for 2020.
It is therefore a plausible image that the question relating to the vision ofESA is not compatible with Sony's tastes again, which will therefore not take part in E3 for the second consecutive year.
E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) is a video game fair organized every year by ESA (Enetertainment Software Association) and this year will take place exclusively digitally - unfortunately - due to the now sad and well-known series of limitations imposed all over the world to counter the contagion from COVID-19.
