E3 2020: in view of a possible cancellation of the online event

Due to the coronavirus theE3 2020 has been canceled as we all know, leaving orphans the players who waited as every year for the Los Angeles conference ofESA. However, it emerged that the wait would have been rewarded by online events that would have avoided all possible problems of the contagion, in any case providing players with all the news for this and next year, as further hints on the new videogame generation.

Despite the hopes, however, it seems that even this version of E3 2020 may not see the light, as emerged from the Tweet of Mike Futter attached below.

Four sources tell @VIrtualEconCast that despite weeks to pull something together, The ESA will not hold any sort of online E3 event. Instead, the organization will lean on its publisher and developer partners. I'm told an official announcement will likely come early next week.

Four sources say that despite the weeks to put something together, ESA will not be holding any kind of E3 events online. Instead, the organization will rely on its partner publishers and developers. I am told that an official announcement is likely to come early next week.

We are not dealing with certainties, but it therefore seems that we could also be forced to say goodbye to the digitization of the Los Angeles fair. However, it is possible that the majors in the sector decide to hold their own online conferences, like the State of Play and Nintendo Direct, to communicate all the news related to its products.
