Dontnod, the creators of Life is Strange, are working on six new projects

In a recent interview with Venture Beat online magazine, the CEO of Dontnod Entertainment Oskar Guilbert talked about the new frontiers on which his software house is now approaching, now ready to jump into the new generation of consoles, after the excellent results of the series Life is Strange and the new one Tell Me Why. In this long article, the CEO of the French development house talked about new projects his team is working on, as well as one new headquarters for your own studio.

In his long speech with journalist Dean Takahashi, Guilbert said he was very happy and proud of the excellent response obtained both by Life is Strange 2, and by the new ip Tell me Why, released in three episodes released between August and September 2020 exclusively on Xbox One and Windows PC. Moving on, the CEO of Dontnod Entertainment has unveiled that at the moment his studio is working on six new projects and precisely for this reason an expansion both in terms of the development team and in terms of the space in which to work was necessary. To remedy these problems, in addition to the new hires that have taken place in recent months, it has also been opened a new branch in Montreal, Canada, which will also allow you to work on games based even more on narrative. The new studio will be coordinated by executive producer Luc Baghadoust and creative director Michel Koch, accompanied by many developers who have worked on the Life is Strange series.

As for the six new games, however, unfortunately Guilbert only allowed himself to name their existence, remaining very vague on their possible content and referring to them as “Project 8”, “Project 9” and so on. This last quarter of 2020 was very challenging for Dontnod Entertainment, which is also preparing for the launch of Twin Mirror next December 1st. So who knows what the French software house will have in store for us for the next-gen, even if many are hoping for another chapter of the Life is Strange series.
