R, after having completed "Invincible"And having launched on the market"Oblivion Song"Has recently frozen all his fans with the news of the closure of his most important and famous work, or"The Walking Dead“, Which boasted a publication lasting more than fifteen years. Kirkman, however, already has his ace up his sleeve and, surprisingly, launches on the market Die! Die! Die!. This exciting new comic series was co-written with Scott M. Gimple (writer and producer of the TV series "The Walking Dead"), while the drawings and colors are respectively Chris BurnhamNathan Fairbairn. Published by SaldaPress, this first issue immediately presents itself for what it is: a shameless and over the top work.

History

During the second term of the president Barack Obama Unbeknownst to the president himself, a real war is taking place in the world of spies. A non-governmental agency, thanks to blackmail and violence, manages to keep men among the most powerful and key figures in the world of politics in check. This agency, which moves in the shadows, uses any means in its power to succeed in carrying out its shady plans.

At the head of this secret agency is the United States Senator Connie Lipshitz. This is a strong and determined woman who, having dealt with key figures on the international political scene in the past, knows how to move to hit and manipulate her targets. In his ranks of mercenaries, there are three brothers Paul, John e George. These three boys discover that their father was one of the most ruthless mercenaries the world has ever seen, so they decide to be trained by him. At the end of the training, these three boys become lethal killers in the pay of the agency created by Connie Lipshitz. During a mission Paul is captured, and for Connie his release becomes the top priority, so he sends the agent Nate Lipshitz e John (Paul's brother) who has long since retired to private life because he is tired of the life dedicated to the horror he led. From here starts a story made of action, violence and conspiracies.

A welcome surprise

What we are talking about is another very interesting product born from the creative genius of Kirkman, who remains today one of the most productive authors of the last twenty years. He has always stood out for his original creations, just think that even some of his less successful works are still better than many more "commercial" works of the American comics scene. After reading this first chapter by Die! Die! Die! it immediately catches the eye how Kirkman manages to create stories that manage to adapt perfectly to both a comic and a TV series, and even this new story seems to be the perfect idea for a new television series. From the very first pages you can see how this is a work of great impact, which perfectly mixes violence, action and conspiracy. Each narrative arc is amplified by the strong rate of violence present within the story which, however, is never free. In this comic, violence (whether verbal or physical) is the real key to understanding it through which we can fully enjoy it. Take the plot of a "007" movie, add a good dose of intrigues and conspiracies in perfect "House of Cards" style and now we entrust the direction to the master of the pulp / splatter genre Quentin Tarantino: now you have an idea of what awaits you by reading the pages of Die! Die! Die !. The conditions for bringing this incredible work to the small screen are all there, and I can't wait for all of this to become reality.
