Demon's Souls: Moore reveals many new features of the remake for PlayStation 5

There are only a few days left until the arrival in the shops of PlayStation 5, and one of the titles coming out at launch that certainly is very tempting to many fans is without a shadow of a doubt the remake of Demon's Souls, developed by the teams Bluepoint games e Japan Studio. After the new splendid gameplay trailer released yesterday, the creative director of the work Gavin moore he allowed himself to many interviews to reveal many innovations present in this remake of the progenitor of the genre Soulslike, developed by FromSoftware and released way back in 2009 on the PlayStation 3.

    • Development started well three years ago, just after the release of Shadow of the Colossus for PlayStation 4. After receiving permission from Hidetaka Miyazaki and the original development team, they decided to try their hand at restoring glory to this PlayStation 3 classic.
    • For this project the two development teams wanted to stay as faithful as possible to the original work, leaving the artificial intelligence and gameplay unchanged. However, the title has many improvements from its mother version, such as one new much more modern camera and fixed, although there is still the possibility to return to the classic view of the game.
    • There will be no possibility to choose the difficulty of your adventure.
    • The systems of World Tendency e Character Tendency remain unchanged from the original game, so the world and its degraded state will change depending on which areas are explored or which enemies are defeated (a white cast will make the game easier but drops will be less beneficial, while a black cast will will allow you to obtain rarer items at the expense of a more complex challenge).
    • Unfortunately in this remake there will be no room for the sixth Archstone, one of the largest areas fans have discovered in the cut content of the original version. According to Moore it was a painful choice, but which still gives even more importance to the choice of remaining absolutely faithful to FromSoftware's vision.
    • The much rumored Fractured Mode will be unlockable once the game is over and it will literally be a mirror mode, in which we will restart our adventure in a mirrored map compared to its original version, increasing the difficulty and challenge level even more.
    • One has been added Photo mode very similar to the one implemented in Shadow of the Colossus, which will actually allow you to pause the game. In case of invasions or if a companion has been summoned, however, the possibility of taking photos will be suspended.
    • This Demon's Souls remake will be a excellent starting point both for those who have never tried the original game, and for those who have not touched the Soulslike genre firsthand. The difficulty will be slightly more accessible, especially thanks to the 60 frames per second that will allow much longer reaction times.
    • The treatment system remained unchanged, but you will only be able to carry a limited amount of healing herbs, 10 Full Moon and 10 Crescent Moon respectively.
    • New functions have been added thanks to the possibilities offered by PlayStation 5 and DualSense: for example with the HD rumble it will be possible feel every blow in your hands immediately or unleashed, or when a bow is drawn it will be felt more resistance in the trigger and once the arrow is shot you will also hear the "tick". It will also be possible to get tips and strategies to better face the adventure thanks to the function Game Help of the new console interface.

The meat on the fire seems to be really a lot and many other news we just have to discover them with the pad in hand when this highly anticipated remake of the 2009 classic hits stores. Finally, we remind you that the remake of Demon's Souls will be available at the launch of PlayStation 5, set for the next November 12 in America, Japan and Australia, and for the November 19 in Europe and the rest of the world.
