Deep Down: Capcom renews the brand (again)

Deep Down: Capcom renews the brand (again)

Deep down is one of the most mysterious titles of Capcom of this generation. Originally announced along with the presentation of PlayStation 4 in 2013, Deep Down has never seen the light and since then it has been lost track. Despite this silence, however, Capcom has again renewed the brand for Deep Down on June 19 2020, according to it United States Patent and Trademark Office. The brand, as we had already revealed to you at the time, had already been renewed two years right up to 2020.

A few months ago during an interview Yoshinori ono di Capcom had talked about the title stating that the project had not been canceled, although the hopes to see it in the future are very low:

I haven't been called Mr. Deep Down in a while. The original team no longer exists, but people may have noticed that we have consistently kept the trademark registered and haven't quite given up yet. Every year we review which titles we want to do in the future and bring projects to be approved and developed. There isn't much I can say about it, but the fact that we have kept the brand means that we have not given up hope completely.

We remind you that Deep Down should have been a exclusive title for PlayStation 4 developed by Capcom. Middle way between Dark Souls e Dragon's dogma (other Capcom title he has recently turned eight), according to some the title could become a PlayStation 5 exclusive, but there are no reliable rumors or official sources to support this thesis.
