Deathloop: new details on PS5 DualSense controller support

Deathloop: new details on PS5 DualSense controller support

Developed by Arkane Studios to Bethesda Softworks, Deathloop promises to be an adrenaline-pumping shooter whose launch date is expected next 21 Maggio 2021 exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. The development studio today wanted to unveil new details relating to some features of the Dualense that will be exploited by their next game, communicating to fans through the pages of the PlayStation Blog.

    Dynamic weapons

Trapped in a timeloop, desperate for a way out. Blackreef Island is chaotic, to say the least, especially when you are Colt. With every single villager chasing your blood, you will need a lethal arsenal if you are to survive long enough. With Deathloop's dynamic weapons, each weapon will stand out uniquely in your hands. From the way it shoots to the swing, to the way it reloads or locks onto its target, you'll feel the difference through the DualSense controller.

    Realistic weapon systems

Weapons in Deathloop can jam. When a low-level weapon is locked, the DualSense activation trigger will be locked halfway, giving you instant feedback even before the animation alerts you. As you watch your on-screen character punch the gun to make it work, you will hear a related shot in your controller, activating the mechanism to unlock it.

    Haptic mobility

Each type of movement performed by the protagonist will provide a different sensation, whether you are running, sliding, climbing, or teleporting through Blackreef. You'll also notice the stark contrast of different surface types as you battle in various environments: from the harsh, uneven feedback you will hear as you slide off an uneven roof, to the sordid, pounding input when you land in the snow.

    DualSense controller speaker

Deathloop doesn't just let you feel the action through your controller. Thanks to the speaker of the DualSense controller, you will feel the action coming from your hands. Any bullet that hisses over your head (or hits you). Julianna's taunts echoing from your personal radio as you venture to Blackreef Island. The sharp click of your gun trigger when you've just fired the last bullet and run out of ammo. Each sound seamlessly integrates on-screen events and sensations from the controller.
