The actor Ryan Reynolds, who spoke at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, spoke about the future of the character of Dead Pool now that the rights have passed into the hands of Disney due to the acquisition of the 20th Century Fox. The actor who specified that there are currently no plans defined on the character but that however it goes will know how to adapt very well to the circumstances:
Deadpool was at Fox and is now in the hands of Marvel and Disney. I see endless possibilities in both versions. If Deadpool were placed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I think it would be explosive and surprising. It would be the perfect playground for him to play on. If, on the other hand, he continues to do his thing alone, even then the possibilities would be endless.
So that Deadpool can be the protagonist of a movie PG-13 and not a Rated-R does not seem to bother Reynolds, who then states that in any case the character will work fine. The actor then talked about the behind-the-scenes work with the writers:
We have so much fun with this stuff. We actually write everything here in this room, where I am sitting now. When we do it is great fun. And there is still a lot to tell, so let's hope we can go on for a long time.
