Days Gone 2 was canceled in 2019, Jason Schreier reiterates

After some reassuring sentences issued by Jeff Ross (director of Days Gone) in a live by David Jaffe, in the last few minutes there seems to have been a retrofront on the possibility that Days Gone 2 has actually been canceled in 2019. The Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, who in fact opened the discussion with one of his articles (here our in-depth analysis), in fact reiterated after the end of the live broadcast that Days Gone 2 has really been canceled e it is not in development at Sony Bend Studio. Her full statement follows:

One of the most unpleasant things about covering gaming is the way Gamers will jump through hoops to deny news they dislike, from No Man's Sky delays to work conditions at their favorite studios.

Anyway, Days Gone 2 was rejected in 2019 and is not in development at Sony Bend.

One of the most unpleasant things about coverage of the gaming world is the way players jump through hoops to deny news they don't like, from No Man's Sky postponements to working conditions at their favorite development studios.

In any case, Days Gone 2 was rejected in 2019 and is not in development at Sony Bend.

Jason Schreier's statement only reminds the membership of one of the main news of his particularly well-known report these days, coming into conflict with the phrases of the former director of Bend Studio which had instead given hope. However, immediately after the end of the live, Jeff Ross made a further statement that seems to give particular credit to the possible unfortunate cancellation of Days Gone 2, you can find it below.

Thanks to everyone who attended the podcast with Jaffe. I wish I could have been more forthright with some questions. Just remember @jasonschreier is a journalist who takes his craft seriously. And he has the luxury of being able to be more honest than I'm allowed. https://t.co/MCbvItFwvs

Thanks to everyone who followed the podcast with Jaffe. I wish I could have been more blunt with a few questions. I only remember that Jason Schreier takes his profession seriously. He has the luxury of being much more honest than I can.

According to what looks like a blatant retrofont then, what was stated in the interview may have been only partially true, as conditioned by some secrecy agreements, which does not seem to allow the former game director of Sony Bend Studio to clarify the issue.

We remind you as always that it is important to take the whole issue with a grain of salt since these are not yet official statements, but this time the news seems particularly bitter, and any updates from the Japanese company could soon stop hopes for those who want a sequel to Days Gone.
