Darksiders 2 Trophy Guide [Platinum PS3]

Here is the complete solution to unlock all Darksiders 2 Trophies. In this guide, the tips from Resources4gaming.com to unlock all achievements and reach Platinum on Playstation 3.

How to proceed: I recommend playing a first game on Normal difficulty. In this game you will be able to develop Death properly, acquire weapons and skills. Focus on unlocking as many achievements as possible, the more you do in this game the less you'll have to do on Apocalyptic difficulty, when things get a lot harder. Then start a game in "New Game +" mode this time on Apocalyptic difficulty. If you unlocked all the Trophies in the first game, you can focus on the main story and go straight to the end. This way you should also get Death to Level 30 by the end of this second game.

Complete the game on Apocalyptic difficulty
This is the highest difficulty in the game. If you are feeling strong enough you can try playing this difficulty directly in order to also unlock "Walking in the Demon Park" and "For My Brother" along with this Trophy. However, I recommend playing a first game on Normal difficulty to upgrade the character and unlock all other achievements. Then start a New Game + on Apocalyptic difficulty. It will be easier with the better skills and weapons acquired in the first game.

Side adventure
Complete all side missions
Side missions are marked with purple dots on the map. Follow the solution to all side missions to complete them and get this Trophy.

A sad harvest
Unlock the Reaper form
This form is unlocked when Death reaches Level 6.

Hats off
Defeat K. the Evil
Online - Requires the pass that comes with every copy of the game. You will only be able to face K. the Evil if you manage to pass the Trial by Fire in a single session. For advice on how to overcome it, follow the guide dedicated to the Trial by Fire.

Renovation
Your first reset
You can reset your Vulgrim abilities. You will meet him during the main quest and he will ask you for 1000 coins for the Reset. Once done you will unlock this Trophy. You can always quit the game and reload after doing so if you don't want to spend the money.

Open all Tombs of the Dead
The Tombs of the Dead are 4 in total and open with the keys that only Vulgrim can deliver to you. To get the keys you will need to collect the pages of the Book of the Dead. That's 40 pages in total, every 10 pages Vulgrim will give you a key. Follow the guide to Pages of the Book of the Dead to find all the pages and tombs.

Bring Death to level 30
Level 30 is the highest in the game. You will have to play a "New Game +" in order to get to this level. The "New Game +" mode is unlocked after beating the game for the first time.

Level up your first "possessed" weapon
The weapons possessed are quite rare and it is possible to recognize them because they are highlighted by a red circle when they are on the ground. In the inventory they are marked as owned weapons, so you can't go wrong. Once you have collected one, go to your inventory and upgrade it as shown in the video below:

Online - Requires the pass that comes with every copy of the game. You have to go to the point marked by a Snake on the map in Tri-Stone and then give any object to a friend of yours. It is not difficult, however it is all shown in the video below:

Moves and upgrades can only be purchased by two characters in the game: Thane and Draven. The former has several, but only Draven has the full set of all the moves and power-ups in the game. To buy them all (there are 21 in total) you will have to spend 150.000 gold.

The slots in which you will have to equip chosen items are 7 in total. You can get these items randomly or buy them from Vulgrim. But remember that for these items Vulgrim may also ask you for Boatman coins of which there are only 100 in the whole game, so be careful how you spend them if you don't want to have problems with this Trophy.
