The Kickstarter campaign of Darkest Dungeon: The Board Game has now come to an end. The board game created by Mythic Games he collected in total $ 5.657.479 (about 4 million and 700 thousand euros) thanks to Supporters 28.842 who believed in the project. Darkes Dungeon: The Board Game is inspired by the Darkest Dungeon video game created by the evil minds of the guys at Red Hook Studios (available on PC and Console since 2016). Mythic Games had identified in the minimum goal a figure equal to 255mila euros, so you can imagine for yourself the extent of the success of the Board Game's Kickstarter campaign.
In Darkest Dungeon: The Board Game, players will be asked to take part in a dark and terrifying adventure consisting of 11 episodes, divided into 4 acts, whose duration of each game is in the order of 90 minutes. Adventurers, as well as in videogames, will have to pay attention to the growth of particular negative emotions related to the protagonists, such as stress, madness e pain. To reach the much desired (and feared) Darkest Dungeon, players will have to complete 3 missions for each threat level, until they find themselves in the presence of the terrifying Boss on duty.
The Darkest Dungeon video game was developed by Red Hook Studios and released in January of 2016 su PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. It is a Roguelike RPG, characterized by a system of combat in turns, which boasts an exceptional Gothic graphic style, monstrously inspired and terribly dark. The game had sales of over 4 million units in its basic version only. Taking into account the DLCs released later (The Crimson Court, The Shieldbreaker and The Color of Madness) Darkest Dungeon has sold over 8 million copies.
