Cyberpunk 2077: the lead gameplay designer leaves CD Projekt RED

It seems to continue to rain in the wet for CD Project Red and for cyberpunk 2077: Andrzej Zawadzki, Lead Gameplay Designer by Cyberpunk 2077, has announced that he will be leaving CD Projekt RED after nearly eight years of work for the Polish studio. Andrzej Zawadzki joined the game studio eight years ago and has also worked at The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as a quality assurance tester before being promoted to head of the Cyberpunk 2077 gaming unit.

After almost 8 years, my time at CDPR has come to an end. It's time for the new adventure.
To every person I've met on the way - thank you ? It was an honor and pleasure.

The announcement comes after a tumultuous year for CD Projekt Red. The company faced several death threats after delaying Cyberpunk 2077 several times, and when the game was released, it showed up. marred by glitches that have deeply undermined the experience of the players. The title was so buggy that players started asking for refunds, bringing Sony a withdraw the title from the PlayStation Store, where he has yet to return. CD Projekt Red promised to fix the game's problems with a series of patches, but the updates were delayed after a cyber attack paralyzed the studio. The lead designer took care of all the role-playing aspects of Cyberpunk 2077, developing the balances and progression systems of the game and collaborating with the various teams within the software house to introduce mechanics and RPG elements in various characteristics such as guns, netrunning, the cyber implants, the clothing system, the crafting, the status effects and many other essential factors in the creation of an RPG.

A great and long experience, which closes with a simple tweet. Unfortunately, we cannot know if this abandonment is due to the problems of the game, or to internal disputes within the software house itself. What is certain is that Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt Red unfortunately continue to have problems after problems.
