Cyberpunk 2077: Sony is reimbursing some PlayStation 4 users?

Cyberpunk 2077: Sony is reimbursing some PlayStation 4 users?

Sony never had a refund policy on PlayStation Store, which has been a real pain point for fans for years. However, the company is known to reimburse players in exceptional circumstances and it appears that the performance issues of cyberpunk 2077 meet these criteria. While not everyone is having any luck with customer support, come on Reddit A user reported their situation and said they managed to get the much-needed refund, as you can see from the post below:

PSA: Sony is issuing refunds even past the 2 hour play time for digital games, if you file a refund claim and talk to a rep. from cyberpunkgame

I had to submit a support request online and wait for over an hour to speak to someone, however they were quick to issue the refund and then delete the game from my library.

The lady I spoke to, Carly, also said Sony is filing a commercial complaint with CDPR regarding the issues and I wasn't the first to call today for refunds.

Edit: it seems that while most of those who have requested a refund have obtained it, some requests are denied. I just wanted to reiterate that I had already removed the game from my PS4, wiped the saved data and contacted customer service calmly and professionally. I guess it depends on who answers you. The lady I spoke to was very nice and understanding of the situation.

No doubt you will already be aware of the technical shortcomings of the ambitious RPG developed by CD Projekt RED. Cyberpunk 2077 in fact does not exceed the 720p su PlayStation 4 standard and goes down to 15 frames per second. As if that weren't enough, the title is the victim of crashes, interface problems and interrupted missions due to numerous bugs. The development team is regularly releasing new patches, but if you feel that the title is not worth the purchase, it is possible that Sony may come up with a refund.
