Cyberpunk 2077: Patch 1.05 brought several improvements on consoles

The 1.05 Patch to cyberpunk 2077 (complete changelog here), the new and unfortunate (but potentially beautiful) role-playing game by CD Projekt RED. As they will know by now also on Mars, the title has some significant performance difficulties on the base versions of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while it behaves discreetly on PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X and reaches good heights of quality on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S in backwards compatibility mode (since the versions specifically dedicated to the new consoles from Sony and Microsoft have not yet been published, nor is it yet known when we will be able to have them in our hands). Well, in relation to Patch 1.05 of the game the YouTuber ElAnalistaDeBits has dedicated two interesting video comparisons (you can find them at the bottom of the news), to see how Cyberpunk 2077 behaves on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 5, and on Microsoft consoles: Xbox One, Xbox One X and Xbox Series X. The results seem to show quite significant improvements in terms of performance and graphics rendering.

On Microsoft consoles, for example, in some particular places, like in V's car chase scene, when he tries to smuggle material between the Badlands and Night City, gaming on Xbox One X sees the frame rate double, that if before it was around the 15fps, now result nailed to 30fps. Patch 1.05 also affects the version Standard Xbox One, where Cyberpunk 2077 even ran a 12fps approx, while now the frame rate is able to settle at least over 20fps (21-22fps is the evaluation made in the video). Finally, in terms of resolution, the Xbox One version of the latest CD Projekt RED effort is able to dynamically switch between 720p and 900p, while on Xbox One X the resolution fluctuates between a minimum of 1224p and a maximum of 1368p. Unfortunately, on Sony consoles there do not seem to be obvious improvements in terms of frame rate between the various versions (PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5), but the base PlayStation 4 version of the game seems to at least boast sharper images.

Cyberpunk 2077 (here our review) is available since last December 10 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Windows PC and Google Stadia. The versions specifically dedicated to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S should be launched in 2021. Before saying goodbye, we remind you that recently Sony has decided to remove the game from the PlayStation Store, by activating a dedicated refund procedure. Also Microsoft has adapted to the situation, albeit by not removing the title from its digital store. Finally, perhaps you never believe it, but there are those who, after requesting and obtaining a refund, found it right to complain about the elimination of the digital version of Cyberpunk 2077 from their game library.
