The new and highly anticipated title of CD Projekt RED, cyberpunk 2077. Today the developers have officially announced that the launch of the title has been postponed for another 21 days than expected to date (i.e. November 19, the same day as the launch of PlayStation 5, Sony's new next-gen console). The new chapter of the series it will therefore be available starting next December 10th, really hoping that this is the last time we will be forced to give you such news.
This is the message of Adam Badowski e Maarcin Iwinski from the studies of CD Projekt RED:
Today we made the decision to move the Cyberpunk 2077 launch date by 21 days. The new release date is official and is set for December 10th.
We ask you to accept our apologies. Our biggest challenge at the moment is to ship the game and make it available on the same day on all planned console versions, both current-gen and next-gen, and of course on PC. To do this we need to test 9 versions of the game (Xbox One and Xbox One X, Xbox Series X and Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 5, PC and Google Stadia), and we have to do it from home. We want to offer the best possible version of the game for each of these platforms.
Some might say that a few days ago we showed the final disc of the game, announcing that Cyberpunk 2077 had entered the GOLD phase. This is true, but it does not mean that our work is now complete: we have been busy optimizing the title.
We have made this decision, one of the most difficult, to offer you the best possible product.
Cyberpunk 2077 will therefore see the light on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Stadia and on the next generation consoles, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S starting from the next 10th December. A few hours ago the game designer unveiled new details on some of the content cut which will not be part of the final version of the game. While no later than 24 hours ago they were shown new concept art dedicated to the game world.
