Cyberpunk 2077: are you dissatisfied? CD Projekt Red invites you to ask for a refund

As you know by now, the launch of cyberpunk 2077, the highly anticipated open world action adventure RPG from CD Projekt RED was harshly criticized by console users for the "pitiful" state of the game. After only four days of release, the Polish software house decided to break the delay by publicly apologizing through a very long post released on their Twitter account. As can be seen from the message, the team has not only ensured a new update will be available within the next week which will correct some of the still unresolved critical issues, but Two major patches will be released between January and February which should definitely put an end to the Cyberpunk 2077 problems on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Also, as the very long apology of CD Projekt RED, in case you are not satisfied with the performance of the game on your console and do not intend to wait for further updates, you can safely request a refund of your copy, valid for both the purchase of the physical and digital version. Finally, the team is keen to underline that the various updates will not only improve the old-gen editions of Cyberpunk 2077, but will also bring several improvements on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S and PC. We report in detail what was said in the official press release:

    Dear players,

First of all, we would like to start by apologizing for not showing the game on the base console
'old-gen before its release and, consequently, not allowing you to make a decision anymore
informed about your purchase. We should have paid more attention to making it work
best on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Secondly, we will fix bugs and crashes and improve the overall gaming experience. The
first round of updates has just been released and the next one will arrive within the next 7
days. Expect more, as we will update frequently whenever they become available
new improvements. After the holidays, we will continue to work: we will release two large patches a
starting with "Patch 1" in January. This will be followed by "Patch 2" in February. Together, these
'Updates should fix the most important issues that players face on
last generation console. We will inform you about the contents of each patch before theirs
publication. They won't make it seem like gaming on old-gen works like it does on a high-end PC or next-gen console, but it will be closer to that experience than it is now.

Finally, we always want everyone who buys our games to be happy with theirs
purchase. We would appreciate it if you give us a chance, but if you are not happy with the game
as it is on console and you don't want to wait for updates, you can choose to refund the
your copy. For copies purchased digitally, use the refund system of respectively
PSN or Xbox. For physical versions, first try to get a refund at the store where
you have purchased the game. If this is not possible, please contact us at helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com and we will do our best to help you. You can contact us at
starting today until 21 December 2020.

    Humbly,
Marcin Iwifiski, Adam Kicifiski, Adam Badowski, Michat Nowakowski, Piotr Nielubowicz, Piotr Karwowski
