Countdown E3 2019 - Square Enix: all or nothing, from Marvel's Avengers to Final Fantasy VII Remake

Countdown E3 2019 - Square Enix: all or nothing, from Marvel's Avengers to Final Fantasy VII Remake

This year's E3 conference for SquareEnix is likely to be very delicate indeed, not only for the enormous expectations about ending Fantasy VII Remake, but for the general line-up which, inevitably, manages to involve a large part of the public. After ending Fantasy XV e Kingdom Hearts III, the hype surrounding some IPs of the development house has subsided slightly, but despite this, the Japanese company still has a lot of meat on it. Between certainties, bets and hopefully some surprises, we are going to make the classic point of the situation, hoping that the gun loaded by the software house does not shoot blanks, but shows a fleet of titles that manages to hit the target, not only galvanizing the public with flashy trailers, but showing solid products with a great perspective. The show will start at 03:00 on June 11th, as usual, you can follow the entire event live with us.

Countdown E3 2019 - Square Enix: all or nothing, from Marvel's Avengers to Final Fantasy VII Remake The usual suspects

Let's cut the bull's head, let's talk straight away about what we already know, or have a great chance of seeing, at this year's E3. Let's start with the most anticipated, the one who during the conference Square Enix most likely will wear the most beautiful dress: we are inevitably talking about ending Fantasy VII Remake. The game recently showed up in a short trailer during the State of Play di Sony, its appearance at the fair will be more than fleeting given that a real presentation with great fanfare is expected. We will then get new details, information and curiosities about the development, perhaps even with the possibility of trying it out in a dedicated panel. Another great awaited, even if we have no confirmation of its presence, is the DLC dedicated to Kingdom Hearts III, that is Kingdom Hearts Re: Mind. We don't have any information on the latter, but it could be some sort of Fragmentary Passage, or a very linear episode that tells a "new adventure", perhaps closely connected with the game's ending or a sort of flashback that will tell stories that have remained unresolved or still hidden in the mystery.

However, in addition to the pragmatic certainty of the titles, there is also another matter to take into consideration, that is the support that Square Enix has in mind for Nintendo Switch. In addition to recent publications by ending Fantasy X, XII e XV, much more is expected for the famous hybrid console. The certainty is Dragon Quest XI S, with many new functions developed specifically for the peripheral.

Great surprises yet to be discovered

Here things start to get really interesting, in fact Square Enix certainly has two important titles in store: We are talking about Marvel's AvengersBabylon's Case. The former is certainly the most anticipated one, and the game will almost certainly be central to the company's line-up next year. The work is in production at Crystal Dynamics and will have a single player structure with sessiocooperative multiplayer gameplay. It has also been described as a third person action adventure, with a cinematic narrative. We don't know if it will be set in the same universe as Marvel's Spider-Man, but we are confident that we will finally have some answers during the conference.

Unfortunately for Babylon's Fall instead we don't have any kind of certainty, in the only trailer published you can see multiple artworks and a very short video in which two armors battle each other, both characterized by a design style reminiscent of i Souls. The last image of the movie is the one that could contain more information, since you can see 4 shadows which in all probability are the character classes within the adventure. In fact, we can distinguish a magician, a heavy knight, a light one and the last one who could easily be a sort of explorer.

In conclusion we can say that Square Enix he definitely has the skills to make a noteworthy show. Although we know practically nothing, only the presence of two titles like ending Fantasy VII Remake and a strong brand like that of Avengers, ensure that the attention this year is much more concentrated and that expectations are skyrocketing.
