Countdown E3 2019 - Devolver Digital, the craziest conference in Los Angeles

Just three days from the official start of theE3 2019, continues our roundup of specials related to the various conferences that will make up the exciting show in Los Angeles. We told you about Publishers who must take revenge at all costs, like Square Enix o Bethesda, we told you about who will look to the future in the conference PC Gaming and not only that, but also high expectations for Microsoft products, Ubisoft, other famous publishers. Obviously we have dedicated a small space also to the great absentee of this year, that is Sony, which, however, in June will not aim to leave us dry-mouthed. Just a year ago, in Los Angeles, we were pleasantly surprised by the conference of Devolver Digital, not only for the variety and interest in the proposed titles, but the decidedly eccentric and fun way in which this show is proposed. Last year's conference lasted just over 20 minutes, including twists, specially recited scenes and a lot of sense of humor. Furthermore, the end of the conference left us with exactly this message: "To Be Continued Next Year". Well, the time has come! Always to make us hungry for nonsense, less than a month ago the same publisher announced his return with a small teaser:

Devolver Digital: Reloaded

Clearly what we should expect is a content that will resume the style of the past year from scratch ... and will most likely be the biggest mistake we can make. The purpose of the conference will indeed be, again, to amaze and entertain, and we can therefore foresee a show that goes even further than what we saw in 2018. More violence? More blood? More more? We'll see where the bizarre goes into what is in effect a fusion of a real lecture and a parody of it. However what might be shown is still a mystery in many ways, and there are no more than a handful of predictable announcements.

One of the titles that hit the Los Angeles stage last year is My Friend Pedro, which as per announcement should arrive during the current year: currently Steam reports a generic June 2019, and therefore it becomes possible to announce the official release date, or even to be made available live. There's also a chance it won't show up at all, but on such an occasion it would be a perfect choice. Even more likely is the presence of Nina Struthers, while the biggest surprise concerns how many (and clearly which) independent titles will be brought to the fore, perhaps in collaboration with Croatem which already last year contributed to the creation of SCUM. It is also possible that some will be announced for the latter special contents.

Appointments and hopes

Going back to talking about the Croatian team, the hopes of the players focus more on a sensational announcement of the date of The Talos Principle 2 (title that currently Croatem is developing), but if the game were to clock the time during the Devolver Digital conference most likely it will do so only to give a "fleeting greeting", no more than a sneak peek. But I warn you, we must be ready for anything.

Equally interesting would be to see on stage too Eitr, the indie title in a fascinating pixel art developed by Eneme Entertainment. For those unfamiliar with it, it is an Action RPG based on Norse mythology, full of exceptional combat and increasingly grim challenges.

The Devolver digital conference will take place at 4:00 am on June 9th, immediately after that of Bethesda. And as we have been telling you from the beginning, watching it will not only be interesting, but also fun!
