Packaging

The packaging of Corsair 110R it consists of a brown cardboard box, with the appearance of the case printed on the front while on the back we find the explosion of the components of the casing with a brief description in various languages. Once the box is opened, we can find the well protected case in the polystyrene; in addition, the entire case is covered with a plastic film.

The box worthily protects the product and the company has, as always, studied the structure of the packaging to the best of its ability to preserve its precious content. Certainly the cardboard doesn't look sober, but it looks very eye-catching with all those images and logos printed on it.

Design

Il Corsair 110R it has a much more sober appearance than its casing. The front panel of the case has a minimalist design with only a small Corsair logo at the bottom and ODD cut out at the top. On the outside of the front panel we can find air intakes about 25 mm large.

The right side panel consists of tempered glass, with a rather heavy dark shade and is mounted with four thumb screws to the frame. On the left we find a steel panel which is attached to the frame by two captive thumb screws. On the back we can find a large opening for feeding. On top of that, there are seven PCIe expansion slots covered by gaps and connected with thumb screws. To the right of the PCIe slots is a rectangular air vent, and above it is the rear I / O cut out with a single 120mm air vent.

The front I / O is located on the top panel and consists of two USB 3.1 Type A ports, a single 3,5mm headphone / microphone socket, a square power button, and a square reset switch much like the first but smaller. Unfortunately, USB Type-C connectivity is lacking in this part of the chassis, but it's understandable given the price range.Corsair 110R PC Case - Corsair's budget case review

On the underside of the case are four plastic feet with integrated rubber pads and a removable dust filter that covers the power supply fan vent. The dust filter is removed pressing on the lever and pulling it out from the rear. An additional magnetic dust filter is located on the top panel, covering the position of the 120mm / 140mm fan. Additionally, the front panel has steel mesh dust filters built into the airflow holes.

This case has its eye-catcher, especially thanks to a structure made entirely of steel with black coating which makes it very pleasing to the eye. The front panel made of ABS plastic with a satin effect manages to give that extra touch of gloss that never tastes, not to mention the quality of the materials that overall impressed us not a little, given the price of the product.

Technical features

So far we have told you that given the price, the quality of the product seemed to us remarkable. You should know that the Case 110R currently runs about 75 €, certainly not the cheapest case on the face of the earth, but at the same time it offers some really interesting performances. Let's find out.

What more do you want from a case with this price? The product also has inside a supplied box of screws for the installation of the components ordered in bags. At this point we just have to discover the layout of the spaces inside.

Internal

To open the front panel of the case, you just need to push with a little force in the lower part of the same to free it from the frame. As soon as the front panel is removed, we find a large space for mounting the fan, a 360 radiator or an AIO device. The huge space left here leaves us a little thoughtful as once assembled we have the HDD cart very close to it.Corsair 110R PC Case - Corsair's budget case review

Due to the design displayed by the product, installing full-size motherboards into it may be difficult, as can installing a large GPU. it could cause problems related to front cooling. In this case, users will have to carefully choose which pieces to bet on most.

Despite the tight spaces, the interior seems well structured, with many cutouts for the passage of cables, some even protected with rubber pads. However, due to the depth of the case, the space for cables behind the motherboard seems narrow.Corsair 110R PC Case - Corsair's budget case review

Furthermore, on this side of the case we can see both the removable 2,5-inch SSD trays and the 2,5 / 3,5-inch HDD cart, which looks like it can be removed or repositioned. The adjustment on the right is only small, which means that the installation of a large front radiator it will only be possible with the HDD tray completely removed from the case.

To the right of the HDD carriage is the location of the power supply. The Corsair 110R offers approximately 205mm of space from the HDD cart to the rear of the chassis, so mounting a large power supply will be tricky unless the HDD cart is removed.

Conclusions

Corsair 110R is definitely one of the best starting points for all users who want to build a custom PC. The beauty of the case and its internal structure allows users to indulge themselves in any way. With a really affordable price, users will be able to purchase a mid-tower chassis case that includes five storage bays - 2x 2,5-inch, 2x 3,5-inch and 1x 5,25-inch - five 120mm fan mounts, seven expansion slots, and support for micro or standard ATX motherboard.

A full-length PSU cover helps keep components tidy, rubber grommets on cable holes are a nice touch for this price, and there's acceptable filtering throughout the interior. The quality of the products is truly appreciable and the minimalist design looks perfect for lovers of this type of construct. The downside is the absence of a USB-C part on the front of the case.
