Control: First 15 minutes of the AWE expansion shown

Remedy today released the first 15 minutes of AWE, the awaited expansion of Control, During the Twitch live presentation of the DLC it was confirmed, as already done previously, that Control and Alan Wake (protagonist of the homonymous title released on Xbox 360 PC) take place in the same narrative universe. We do not add anything else and we invite you to retrieve the AWE presentation stream, which you can find via this link.

Speaking to Game Informer microphones, the creative director and screenwriter of the Finnish software house Sam lake said the new expansion will further deepen the research sector of the Federal Bureau, in particular on the incident of Bright Falls. We report below what Lake stated:

We have the opportunity to look back at what happened to Alan Wake and how the Bureau sees it. Well, there was this otherworldly event that took place in Bright Falls and suddenly they have this terminology. We have people who say: “I loved Alan Wake but I didn't really understand what happened, and now I have played Control and I understand what happened in Alan Wake!

I can say that you will find out more about the Bureau's research, what happened to Alan Wake and where they are today.

In a DLC trailer released a few days ago, Alan Wake was shown, albeit for a very short fraction of a second. We do not know how and in what way the writer will make his appearance, but everything is at least very intriguing. After The Foundation, AWE it will therefore be the second expansion of Control. The date is set for August 27th, 2020. For those who still play the title, we leave you ours here review of Remedy's work. Finally, we remind you that the game is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
