Clash Royale: guide to the Barbarian Barrel, deck and tips on how to use it

Clash Royale, as is well known, it is one of the most played mobile titles by users. Its free to play nature and competitive component have allowed it to become popular, also allowing it to enter the world of eSports. Just today the new Epic card was released, or the Barbarian Barrel: available from arena 10, it is certainly one of the most interesting introductions in the Supercell video game and, for this reason, we have prepared a guide on how to use it and in which decks to insert it.

We know the Barbarian Barrel

The Barile Barbarico is without a doubt the natural substitute for the Trunk, the latter, however, being a Legendary, is difficult to obtain. The two cards are very similar, except for the range: the Trunk, in fact, if positioned behind the bridge, still manages to hit the enemy tower, while the Barbarian Barrel covers only half the path of the legendary before releasing the Barbarian. . Although this character being alone is not particularly difficult to counter, its use can be strategic, thus allowing you to have an extra troop in the field. However, remember that, being an Epic card, it will be difficult to upgrade. His strategic ability is also interesting: in fact, when the Barrel breaks, it will cause blast damage to the target.

Usage strategies

In addition to eliminating and moving enemy troops, the Barbarian Barrel will release a single, lonely Barbarian once its run is over. The latter it can be useful for breaking through the enemy rear, that is all those troops that hide behind tanks such as Giant or Golem and that make the elimination of this type of cards complicated. The Barbaric Barrel can also be used very well together with the Wild Boar Tamer since, in addition to defeating any Goblins or Skeletons, it will release a troop useful for the defense of the Hog Rider. The cost of 3 units of Elixir is by no means prohibitive, so you shouldn't have any problems using it as you please.

Recommended decks

Barbarian barrel
Mini PEKKA
Outlaw
Night Witch
Arrows
Giant
Princess
Spirits of Fire

Although it may seem to have few troops on the field, the technique of this deck is to keep the opponent under constant pressure, holding the Mini PEKKA for defense and attacking with the Giant, covered by the Night Witch and, from far away, also by the Princess. The Barbarian Barrel will serve you both to break through the defenses that have targeted the Giant, and to defeat any Hordes of Skeletons, even taking the lead with the Barbarian released. The Spirits of Fire will be useful for a possible air defense, also because, in addition to the Princess and the Witch's Bats, there is a risk of being heavily hit by cards like Hound or Hell Drake. You can still replace the Night Witch with the classic Witch, however, going from an average cost of Elixir of 3.4 to 3.5.

Mini PEKKA
Baby Dragon
Barbarian barrel
Elite Barbarians
Cavaliere
Fire ball
Download
Princess

The deck is similar to the one described above, but with some very substantial changes. Using the Baby Dragon will give you that area coverage that was previously lacking, the fireball will be used to quickly take out all the Wizards or Witches, but also the buildings placed in defense. Knight and Mini PEKKA will be used for defense or, if you want to risk it, you can use them in attack thus supporting the Elite Barbarians. We advise you to use the latter, however, to change the game suddenly, keeping the download as a cover for any Hordes. The use of the Princess is the classic, both in the defensive and offensive phase. The Barbarian Barrel as well as giving you cover against Goblins or Skeletons, will grant you the protection of the Elite Barbarians adding an additional troop in the attack phase. The cost of 3.5 as an Elixir average is by no means prohibitive.

PEKKA
Poison
Barbarian barrel
Mirror
Elite Barbarians
Minions
Archers
Magic Archer

In this deck you can use the Archers and the Poison for defense, even if the latter can be used in attack to protect the Elite Barbarians or the Mirror PEKKA, even if it is not a card used frequently in decks, it will be used to surprise the opponent in case you take out your defenses. The Magic Archer is a very underrated card, but if placed in the right position it can do huge damage thanks to the range of its arrow, so it will be useful to take out the troops that will be lined up at the bridge and, if necessary, also hit the tower behind them. The Barbarian Barrel here is mainly used as a defense against hordes of any kind, therefore you will need it to protect the Elite Barbarians or, in case, your only tank, or the PEKKA.

These are just a few tips on how to use the Barbarian Barrel, keep in mind that each user's playing method is unique, so these decks will still have to adapt them to your card levels and needs. We hope we have been useful, keep following us so as not to miss other guides.
