Chris Avellone is indicted for alleged sexual harassment

Chris Avellone, a well-known face in gaming for having lent his pen to titles such as Divinity Original Sin 2 and Fallout: New Vegas, is now at the center of a media cyclone that sees him as a "villain". Unfortunately he was accused by multiple women of sexual harassment. The first to have courage and publicly shout the questionable actions that the man may have committed was Karissa, who used Twitter to explain the man's misdeeds that took place during 2013 and 2015. Immediately followed by Stabitha who admitted, always on Twitter, to have received groping from the man.

Some complaints from some women are really heavy, others less so, such as those of Jacqui Collins, currently head of PR for Riot's new title, Valorant. The woman posted a twitter with a conversation between her and Chris Avallone that took place in 2014, where there are decidedly pushed sentences. The fact is that the woman wanted to specify the abuses were limited to those messages and never to concrete actions.

What pisses me off is other industry people have done worse to me. I've been raped, sexually assaulted, and inappropriately touched by people that are not Chris.

But rapes don't generate screenshots so if I publicly outed anyone the internet would just descend to ridicule me.?

The man wanted to defend himself, using the same social network as women, so as to try to have contact with them. He admitted that Karissa hates him, here's the statement:

Karissa does hate me, it is true. Very much, and I do not know how to fix it, but recognized when you hurt someone's friend, there may be no fix at all, except between the two people involved.

And there's never any need to "support" me, I do not wish this.

He hates me a lot and I don't know how to fix this, but I realize that when you hurt someone's friend there may be no way to fix it. Except between the two people involved. And there's no need to support me, I absolutely don't want that.

In this case it refers to Jacky Avocado, or the woman with whom Avellone had a romantic relationship and who, apparently, did not end in the best way. It is unclear whether it is actually a revenge against Chris Avellone to defend her friend, or if these accusations can prove to be true, the fact remains, however, that the scandal will inevitably have strong repercussions on the name and career of the 'author. Stay tuned for more updates.
