Through a teaser trailer released in the last few minutes, Activision has finally announced the name and setting of the next game of Call of Duty, thus confirming the numerous rumors circulated online in recent months. From what we can see in the teaser, in fact, the title will be called Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and, of course, it will be set in the period of Cold War. The teaser trailer of the title does not present the gameplay in any way, but anticipates through the use of historical footage and a real interview with Yuri Bezmenov, former informant of the KBG, the tones and themes of the game. In the course of the interview, Bezmenov also describes the slow and careful ways the Soviet Union was working for infiltrate and destabilize the US government and, consequently, America itself. The teaser trailer also announces the full reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which will happen next 26th August inside Call of Duty: Warzone.
At the moment the title would appear to be on its way by the end of this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One e PC, as well as for next-generation consoles PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X later. The highly anticipated new installment of the hit shooter series will be developed by Treyarch e Raven Software, the studio he previously worked on Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered, Call of Duty Modern Warfare e Call of Duty Black Ops 3, and who for the first time appears as a co-developer of one of the main chapters of the famous series.
