Bright Memory: Infinite - Preview of a new and adrenaline-pumping shooter

Among the meanders of the platform of Steam It is possible to find several independent productions made by a single individual, who with quite large investments of time and money decides to finalize his project independently. It goes without saying that products like these obviously presented flaws and compromises, but some have become particularly memorable over the years (how not to mention Toby Fox's highly acclaimed Undertale, for example). Positioning itself among the most successful works in this area, Bright Memory it amazed the players for a not indifferent production quality, however attesting its total longevity over a single hour of play. Yesterday, the same software house, FYQD Studio, showed during the Inside Xbox event some gameplay phases related to Bright Memory: Infinite, title developed by the same individual and this time published by Playism.

The work had already been announced previously, with a recent gameplay shown at the Game Developer Conference, but yesterday's event showed us the potential of Bright Memory: Infinite on Xbox Series X, although the game will still debut on current generation consoles. Let's see in the next lines what it was, analyzing what was shown and making a forecast on what we can expect once its debut is finalized.

Bullets in action on Bright Memory: Infinite

The short gameplay shown brings one to attention possibility of simply sensational approach, which seems to be Bright Memory: Infinite in fact wants to propose, positioning itself at the top of other cornerstones of the genre. It is a first-person shooter that however does not focus on the weapons, but the movement of the protagonist. In just a few seconds, Shelia has managed to do literally everything, thus taking simple gunplay to the background. However, the guns appear to be well structured, at least as far as feedback and recoil are concerned.

The movie opened with a stealth phase, where it is shown how the character can nimbly climbing and swimming, to then surprise the enemies from behind with powerful assaults. There is not much to wait before you can see it run on walls, use them to jump e juggle with a sword. Enemies quickly flew off with a blade attack, only to be hit repeatedly. It was also possible to notice the use of a grapple to finish the combos and move even more easily, which preceded the charged punches capable of crushing any opponent.

In short, many alternatives seem to animate the gameplay, which if well calibrated can bring unrepeatable sensations to our screens. We were also able to attend small ones time use maneuvers, which seems to be a fundamental theme in the plot narrated within Bright Memory: Infinite. In addition to bringing the enemies into stasis, in fact, the protagonist will be able to move for several years and interface with ancient opponents such as the samurai, combining it all with a script yet to be fully discovered, which lays its foundations in the year 2036.

Doubts and courage

It is clear that the developer has packaged a video full of adrenaline and hopes, which differentiates the new work from the previous chapter, created instead almost as a test for the future. It is not possible to leave out the jaw-splitting graphic sector shown, which will shine more on the versions for Xbox Series X and PC, also taking advantage of the DirectX Ray Tracing in the first case and the NVIDIA Ray Tracing In the second. The on-screen particles related to the climate are present for the entire duration of the video and show a truly iconic effect for this work, able to immerse the user in its vast world with a simple video. All the animations turned out to be amazing, together with the models that made up the magnificent scenery of the level offered.

In short, a riot of apparent quality that could really surprise us once it is time for the release. The work brought to light by the individual developer seems simply surprising, but at the same time creates several doubts regarding the possibilities that this production could actually offer us. The work is likely to show gods not indifferent production limits, potentially linked again to the longevity of the experience. We have not yet been given a release date, however, but considering what is shown we can only wait with open arms for the coming of Bright Memory: Infinite, hoping it will be able to confirm what is shown in these short playful phases.
