    Borderlands 3: Gearbox and 2K announce Borderlands 3 ECHOcast Extension with Twitch partners

    Via a press release today Gearbox Software2K, announce today the "Borderlands 3 ECHOcast Extension". This is an official extension of Borderlads 3 - out on September 13 - in partnership with the streaming platform Tiwtch TV. Through this, in addition to interacting with streamers, viewers will be able to obtain game items by participating in interactive events with other viewers during the stream.


    Borderlands 3's ECHOcast extension allows viewers to view their own gear
    favorite streamers, the contents of their backpacks and the skills they have unlocked. There are also chests in the game
    of special loot: every time a streamer finds and opens one, events will be triggered
    interactive.


    These events are called the “Rare Crate Event”, and by participating, the luckiest spectators could get a copy of an item in the crate that the streamer opened. He will receive a SHIFT code which can be redeemed to get the item that has been selected from the chest.

    The extension will be available from May 1st, just in time for the worldwide demonstration event
    Borderlands 3 gameplay, during which content creators from around the world will play and show
    streaming the game for the first time starting at 19pm.
