Biomutant: new details on Boss and game world revealed

The next 25st May Biomutant will finally make its debut on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and Windows PC. The action-GDR currently under development at the software house studios experiment 101 (For THQ Nordic) had disappeared from the radar for quite some time, before the developers finally announced the launch date and the content of special editions (as well as giving explanations on the for the game to collapse in deafening radar silence). From a recent interview with the leader of Experiment 101, Stefan Ljungqvist to IGN colleagues, we got new details related to Biomutant, which we can't wait to share with you. So let's proceed!

First, our Stefan confirms that Biomutant will be largely inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild:

If you enjoyed Breath of the Wild, or that kind of structure, I think you will really like this game. There are six tribes in the world. Some events are happening in the game world, Shadow of Mordor style. And it all starts with training with a leader of one of these tribes. The aim is to become champion of this tribe. For this you will be entrusted with a special weapon and you will begin learning the Wung-Fu fighting style. The events will take into account the outcomes of the clashes that will see the protagonist of the game fight against the Sifu - the leaders - of the rival tribes.

From the IGN portal we also learn that the game world is full of outposts, each allied with a specific tribe. Forging relationships with a certain group of individuals rather than another will unlock a certain series of missions. Additionally, outposts will provide access to mounts special. Once all the outposts of a particular tribe have been conquered, it will be possible to proceed toassault of the fortress.

We also find theTree of Life, whose fate will determine that of the entire game world made in Biomutant. Not all tribes work for the good; what they do, they fight for the survival of the Tree of Life, so that the world can improve over time. The tribes who, on the other hand, prefer to adopt a more violent style and actions of dubious morality, will do everything to destroy this Tree, to start everything from scratch. The decision to support a good or an evil tribe (which then could be all a matter of points of view, we will find out when we have the game in our hands) it can be changed in the course of the adventure. What can be called the character's moral alignment can therefore be changed at any time, at least according to Stefan's words. The change in philosophy, however, requires the reconquest of the tribes, which will have to be directed towards the new way of seeing things, by force.

Paths will branch off from the Tree of Life towards four fearsome bosses defined as "Eaters of worlds". Massive battles will be held against them that will require special equipment and tactics. To obtain these particular objects (including vehicles) you will have to collaborate with some NPCs scattered throughout the game world, completing the required missions. Once the four "World Eaters" have been defeated, depending on the tribe they represent and the alignment of the chosen karma, the fate of these fearsome Bosses will vary accordingly. Players will have the choice of whether to end the life of these massive creatures or to let them breathe again.

With regard to the protagonist of Biomutant, Ljungqvist concludes:

Who are you and where are you from? This is the third stage of completing the entire main story, and hopefully people will go on exploring the game world to find out. The world is shaped like a diamond ”. It is a design chosen to add a natural sense of direction to the player's journey. You start in the bottom corner and the game will get harder once you reach the top corner of the diamond. It is an open world where players can go in any direction they wish.

At the bottom of the news, the official trailer of the Biomutant gameplay released in the heart of last summer. Good vision!
