As it stated by Larian Studios through a post shared on the firm's official Twitter account, Baldur's Gate 3 it will fail to arrive in early access form in August. Even earlier, during the conference of Guerrilla Collective Indie Showcase, Larian Studios had anticipated that the early access of the highly anticipated title could have suffered some delays due to the health provisions envisaged to limit the spread of the COVID-19 emergency, and today confirmation seems to arrive. The team, in fact, had immediately expressed openly the problems due to the transition to work in smartworking mode, which seems to have slowed them down to the point of not being able to complete the Early Access version of the highly anticipated title.
At the same time, however, there is good news for fans of Baldur's Gate 3, which they will have a chance to discover very soon the new release date. Through a conference set for the next 18 August 2020 at 19, the team will present a wealth of interesting information and details about the title, including what most likely will be the official release date. The reveal will be held on the game's official website and will be accompanied by Geoff keighley, Swen Vincke and the team of Larian Studios.

Please note that Baldur's Gate 3 is based on the fifth edition of Dungeons & Dragons, and is placed immediately after the epilogue of the paper campaign Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus, at a time distance of about 100 years from the second main chapter developed by BioWare. We just have to wait for more information on the title and its new release date.
