The official nominations for the 73rd edition of the British Academy Film Awards have been published o BAFTA, the Oscars of British cinema. The cinecomic Joker by Todd Philips leads the competition with 11 nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor, followed by Tarantino's black comedy Once upon a time ... in Hollywood with 10. The mobster movie follows with 9 nominations The Irishman by Martin Scorsese and the war drama 1917 by Sam Mendes.
In the actress category, double nominations for Margot Robbie (two nominations for Best Supporting Actress for Bombshell and Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood) e Scarlett Johansson, one in the Best Actress for Marriage Story category and one in the Best Supporting Actress category for Taika Watiti's Jojo Rabbit.
The award ceremony will take place Sunday 2 February at the Royal Albert Hall in London for the conduct of comedian and presenter Graham Norton.
