    As explained by the editor Matthew Schmidt, in this version the two heroes find themselves in the middle of the battle against Thanos' army. Black Widow she decides to sacrifice herself by being repeatedly hit by the enemy's weapons. Obviously this version would have been much more scenic and touching for the viewers. In the scene that instead arrived in the halls, once they became aware of how to obtain the gem, the two fight each other to decide who will have to sacrifice themselves. Dialogues proposed to give depth were preferred to the original scenographic silence, but with the use of a decidedly different cut than the original one.



    The actress in question had previously explained that the original version could have traumatized children. The directors then decided to cut it seeing that Avengers: Endgame it already contained enough epic scenes.
