The historical writer of the saga, he worked for approx 10 years to the famous Assassin's Creed series, but after so much work, he has precisely expressed his desire to want to leave Ubisoft and to be ready to work in other environments other than gaming. In fact, he said in the tweet that we leave you at the bottom of the article.

After a decade of working with brilliant people, creating stories and characters for an incredible series and interacting with our wonderful fans, I have decided to go on a new adventure

Special thanks (goes) to all the fans and content creators who have supported and expanded our work over the years. Thanks for your (feedback) you have my deep respect and admiration. It has been a lifetime honor to meet so many of you.

McDevitt has, among other things, a very respectable curriculum, with the management of the writing of the stories of many Assassin's Creed on his shoulders. In fact, he is the lead author of the story of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin's Creed Revelation as well as the short film by Assassin's Creed, Embers.

He also worked on Assassin's Creed II: Discovery, the spin-off of the game for Nintendo DS back in 2009, and ad Assassin's Creed Bloodlines to PSP, while more recently he collaborated to create the new Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

In addition to the Ubisoft series, McDevitt has also worked on titles from other franchises such as The Sims 2 and licensed games inspired by the world of Chronicles of Narnia and even on the Lord of the Rings, thus demonstrating a remarkable ductility as a writer, ready to work in very varied narrative contexts and all different from each other.
