Assassin's Creed Valhalla: the creative director talks about the hidden blade

The creative director of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Ashraf Ismail, recently talked about the context in which the game is set and the characteristics of the main character, also revealing some details on the hidden blade. The latter, shown in the first trailer dedicated to the work, is no longer really hidden and is positioned so that it is more visible. This has to do with the protagonist Eivor, who in the game believes the weapon is too beautiful and powerful to be kept secret. These are the words of Ismail:

We are building a Viking fantasy. We wanted players to live as a Viking warrior and fully live in that fantasy, but this within the world of Assassin's Creed. And so, on our journey, Eivor meets Assassins. Eivor doesn't necessarily know what that means, but there is some kind of common ground that they have and are people that Eivor will work with.

At some point, Eivor receives a hidden blade - something that happens pretty soon. We don't want to go into detail to avoid spoilers, but it is something very important and significant for the journey of this game. And so, when Eivor receives this hidden blade, he wears it and believes it is such a powerful weapon that he has no reason to hide it from his enemies.

Recall that Assassin's Creed Valhalla will arrive towards the end of 2020 on next-gen consoles and on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Over the next Inside Xbox on May 7, which will reveal various titles coming out on Xbox Series X, a first gameplay video of the title will be shown.
