Assassin's Creed Valhalla: new information on missions and progression

Assassin's Creed Valhalla: new information on missions and progression

Ashraf Ismail, creative director of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, recently gave an interview to Kotaku and revealed interesting information on the highly anticipated title Ubisoft. The new details mainly concern the missions present in the course of the adventure and the progression system, but also the initial choice of the protagonist's gender. Regarding the latter topic, the director has not gone into too much detail, however he revealed that both characters will encounter the same dialogues and quests, but there will be some mysterious changes that Ismail has avoided talking about.

As for the missions, the biggest difference from the previous chapters is the use of the diplomacy to resolve certain conflicts. In fact, it will be possible to negotiate to complete some quests, even if in some cases violence and fighting will be strictly necessary. Even the progression system will undergo important changes related to the "concept of power", the latter obtained through the acquisition of skills by the player. Furthermore, there will be no "walls" that do not allow the user to access the game sections in which they are interested. These are his words:

When you immerse yourself in the game world, to pursue goals, you remain involved in politics. We get involved in a journey, but we offer options. So sometimes yes, it means that it is possible to negotiate to resolve something.

We've been thinking a lot since Origins about progression and what it means to players, and we've had a new vision of progression for this game. There is more the concept of power, power that is acquired, let's say, through the acquisition of skills of the player.

In case you want to know more about the features of the title, information on parkour and the size of the map has also been revealed recently. We remind you that Assassin's Creed: Valhalla will be available at the end of the year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia.
