Anthem was launched in February 2019, but is often considered by many to be a real misstep of Bioware due to the numerous technical problems that emerged immediately. Perhaps due to the rush for his release, which came almost unexpectedly, the game has always been shaky. In spite of everything EA has always held high esteem in its possibilities for the voice of the same CEO of the manufacturer, Andrew Wilson, who spoke about it a few months ago through interviews. Admitting the difficulties that Bioware has encountered in recent times, Wilson nevertheless assured that the innovation and the search for new themes by the developers would bring positive news in a short time, which however have not yet arrived.

Just to revive the fortunes of Anthem, a complete revision of the title is underway since the beginning of 2020, one year after its launch, called Anthem Next which should have compensated for all the shortcomings that were highlighted, going to implement inexplicably missing game mechanics. Unfortunately, however, many doubts remained about this work, which are once again making the fortunes of Bioware shake. In fact, it is called precisely in the current week to express itself definitively, now that the years passed since the launch of the title are already two, on the goodness or otherwise of the video game. In fact, it is thought that a definitive decision could be made that goes either towards the serious relaunch of the title, with an expansion of the development team and the concentration of new resources, or the complete suspension of the project. In fact, it may not be worth investing time and money, especially in relation to the fact that the return of Mass Effect Dragon Age, pending starting next May.
