Amazon Prime Video has plenty of surprises in store for us this year, with 5 original series available next month. Not just the highly anticipated Good Omens, but we will also find The WidowAmerican Gods e Hanna. Finally, filming will begin this year on the first Prime Original series, which does not yet have a title and will be available in more than 200 countries around the world.

The Widow is the new original Amazon Prime Video thriller available from 1 Marchstreaming in original and subtitled version. Kate Beckinsale is the protagonist of these first eight episodes of the series. The series tells the story of Georgia Wells (Kate Beckinsale) who has lived locked away in her country home in Wales, away from 21st-century society and comforts since her beloved husband, Will (Matthew Le Nevez), died in a plane crash in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). His life, however, suddenly changes when he catches a glimpse of Will in the background of a television report shot in Congo.

 

AMERICAN GODS SEASON 2 FROM 11 MARCH

Amazon Prime Video: all the news and releases of March 2019American Gods, will return to Amazon Prime Video for the second season next March 11 with new episodes available on a weekly basis. In the cast Ricky Whittle (The 100, Nappily Ever After) as Shadow Moon and Ian McShane (Deadwood, John Wick) as Mr. Wednesday. American Gods is a TV series consisting of eight one-hour episodes based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman which has as its subject the struggle between ancient and new gods. The gods of traditional mythology are losing more and more followers to a new pantheon of gods that reflects the themes of modern society, such as love, technology, mass media, celebrity and drugs.

Based on the 2011 film, the first season of Hanna was written and produced by David Farr (The Night Manager) who also worked on the film. The story tells of Hanna (Esme Creed-Miles), raised in total isolation in the most remote forests of Eastern Europe. The girl spent her entire childhood training to fight and defend herself from those who hunt her and her father, Erik Heller (Joel Kinnaman), a mercenary. Hanna's survival skills are tested when she and her father are forced to separate when corrupt CIA agent Marissa Wiegler (Mireille Enos) and her team locate them.


 

GOOD OMENS FROM MAY 31ST

The End of the World is coming, which means that a spoiled Angel (Michael Sheen) and a wild Demon (David Tennant) who have become passionate about life on Earth are forced to create an unexpected alliance stop the Apocalypse. Unfortunately, they have lost sight of the Antichrist, an 11-year-old boy who, unaware, is designated to initiate the Apocalypse. The two will be forced to embark on an adventure to find him and thus try to save the world before it's too late. The series, based on the novel by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman, includes in the cast David Tennant, Michael Sheen, Jon Hamm, Frances McDormand, Nick Offerman, Jack Whitehall, Miranda Richardson, Adria Arjona, Michael McKean, Anna Maxwell Martin, Mireille Enos, and is produced by Amazon Studios, BBC Studios, Blank Corporation and Narrativia. Neil Gaiman, Douglas Mackinnon, Chris Sussman, Simon Winstone and Rob Wilkins are executive producers. The first season of Good Omens will be available exclusively on Prime Video starting in May 31 in dubbed and subtitled version.
