AESVI, denied the previous news regarding PEGI and sales bans

In the last few hours the news has circulated relentlessly that according to a statement by Thalita Malagò - general director of the Videogame Publishers Association (AESVI), the PEGI classification would become mandatory by law and, consequently, the sale of video games would be absolutely prohibited. with PEGI 18 to all minors, making this sale a real illegal act. Within a few hours, however, the denial arrived, due to a wrong interpretation of the data and facts by the source.

Thus correcting the news, it is true that the PEGI classification will soon become law, thus passing no more simple advice, but a stamp to be shown obligatorily,  but clearly, it will not be considered illegal to sell violent video games to minors.
With the current confusion that has arisen, we advise you to wait for direct corrections or further denials on the subject.
