    Activision sues Netflix, injunction required and punitive damages

    According to a recent Deadline report, Activision Blizzard would have filed a lawsuit against Netflix due to the recent hiring of Spencer Neumann, chief financial officer of the US manufacturer and distributor of video games, before the expiration of his contract. According to information leaked so far, Activision would have filed a lawsuit in the California Superior Court in the past few hours.


    According to the lawyers of the videogame industry giant, Neumann started working at the Call of Duty house in May 2017, with the expiration of the contract scheduled for April this year. (The publisher of the game retained the right to extend it for an additional year). According to Activision, Netflix would have courted the now former employee from the end of 2018. Furthermore, according to the recent report, the video game giant would not have asked the California court for a 'permanent injunction towards the company founded by Reed Hastings e Marc Randolph (preventing the latter from hiring other Activision employees on fixed-term contracts), but also punitive damages, with compensation of a considerable sum of money.
