    53 years of Quentin Tarantino

Il March 27, 1963 in Knoxville, in Tennessee, was born Quentin Tarantino. Thanks to his stepfather who took him for the first time to see Bambi, the only film that has ever scared the director, Quentin develops a love for cinema, especially when he moved to El Segundo he began to take an interest in spaghetti westerns. Sergio Leone and of cinema, of which he is a great admirer. At just fourteen, Tarantino wrote his first screenplay, Captain Peachfuzz and the Anchovy Bandit. Meanwhile, a short time later, he dropped out of school to become a mask at the Pussycat, Torrance's porn cinema. After some odd job in the video rental business, he continued to study acting at Allen Garfield's Actors' Shelter in Beverly Hills, but his interests shifted from acting to scriptwriting and directing. He then began writing scripts and reselling them, including that of Una vita al massimo, Natural Born Killers and From Dusk Till Dawn. Given his talent, he manages to find funding from Live Entertainment for the development of his first film as a director and screenwriter, Le Iene (Reservoir Dogs).

The film was an extraordinary success with critics and audiences, especially considering that it was shot in 6 weeks with a budget of $ 6.000. Such a resounding success that Le Iene is considered the best independent film in the history of cinema, followed by Donnie Darko, a film with a much higher budget. In his first feature film Quentin Tarantino he inserted many of the characteristics that make up his poetics and his style, from a non-linear narrative, to a comic use of violence, cynical and ambiguous characters and finally divinely written dialogues, a characteristic that will characterize him throughout his career. Later it arrives Pulp Fiction, which thanks also to Oscar Prize for the original screenplay conquered in 1995 it definitively consecrates him.

From here on I could get away with a simple, the rest is history, and not to "be smart" but because Tarantino made the history of modern cinema, film after film, up to its eighth and for now its last production, The Hateful Eight: film that together with Django Unchained, reinterprets with the typical style of the director one (if not his) favorite genre, the “Spaghetti Western”. All his productions are noteworthy though, from Kill Bill Inglourious Basterds to Jackie Brown, film mistakenly underestimated. With this very quick recap of the history of one of the best directors in the history of cinema, as well as my favorite, me and Resources4Gaming staff wish you a happy birthday to one who is undoubtedly one of the most important personalities in modern cinema, with the confidence that she will be able to delight us with her films for many years to come. Best wishes Quentin!
